Fall Trip to Alaska
Our group will fly into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. In the Anchorage area, we will visit the Museum of History and Art, Lake Hood, Earthquake Park, and historic downtown Anchorage. We plan to experience the Alyeska Aerial Tram and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Girwood.
Ice skating is also on the agenda! Our travelers will visit the Alaska Sealife Center and the Iditarod Mile Marker, along with Vern Halter’s Dream-a-Dog Farm and Wasilla Museum and the Iditarod Headquarters! After a tour of the Alaska Native Heritage Center, we will transfer to Fairbanks. In the Fairbanks area, we will tour the Aurora Pointe Activity Center where we hope to experience the aurora borealis! There will also be time to visit the Museum of the North and the Ice Museum. Our group will attend Mass at the Sacred Heart Cathedral and then visit the Pioneer Air Museum before flying back to Chicago.
